Metasys SCT (System Configuration Tool) is a Windows-based application for designing, configuring, and maintaining Metasys building automation systems. It provides an offline workspace to build and edit a site archive—defining supervisory controllers, field devices, points, and integrations—then deploy those changes to network engines and servers. SCT streamlines commissioning with templates, validation checks, and bulk edits, and supports sustainment tasks such as upload/download/synchronize, backup and restore, and assisted upgrade and migration workflows. Archives are stored in Microsoft SQL Server, and the tool supports configuring core Metasys features like schedules, alarms, and trends. By centralizing configuration and lifecycle management, SCT helps reduce setup time, improve consistency, and minimize disruption to live systems.
